Information for Coleford, Brunston and Lydbrook patients about registered surgery details

This message is for patients who usually attend Coleford, Brunston or Lydbrook.

Some patients have noticed that the NHS App, hospital letters or other records show Dean Medical Practice with a Blakeney address, sometimes listed as their registered surgery. We wanted to explain this and reassure you.

Following the practice merger in August last year, all surgeries now operate together as Dean Medical Practice. This includes our sites at Blakeney, Coleford, Brunston and Lydbrook.

For national NHS and administrative systems, one site has to be listed as the main registered branch for the practice. For Dean Medical Practice, this is Blakeney. This is why Blakeney may appear as the registered address on the NHS App or on correspondence, even if you usually attend a different site.

This is an administrative system requirement only.

If you usually attend Coleford, Brunston or Lydbrook, nothing has changed. You will continue to have your appointments, care and services at those sites as normal. Patients from these surgeries are not seen at Blakeney.

Your GP records, care team and usual place of care remain the same.

We would also like to reassure patients that all letters sent to Dean Medical Practice are received electronically, just as they were before the merger. You do not need to bring letters into the surgery, even if they show a Blakeney address.

Thank you for your understanding.

Kind regards, Dean Medical Practice
